Meet Treya Taylor

I’m a Perinatal Educator based in Minneapolis, MN, with a deep passion for supporting Black and Brown families. I’m a woman of God, Wife, Mother of 3, auntie and friend. After my own challenging and disheartening labor experience with my first son in 2019, I felt called to make a difference in the lives of others who may face similar challenges. For almost six years, I’ve been advocating for our community, working to ensure that families receive the care, knowledge, and support they deserve.

In May 2023, I became a certified Perinatal Educator through Commonsense Childbirth, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving many families. I take a holistic approach to perinatal education, focusing not just on the physical aspects of pregnancy and birth, but also on mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. My work is rooted in empowerment, education, and advocacy for equitable, culturally relevant care, and I’m committed to making a positive impact on the lives of the families I serve.

I’m a firm believer in the value of a hands-on approach, as it helps to build confidence and reduces anxiety about the unknown. Whether through practical demonstrations, interactive sessions, or one-on-one coaching, I make sure that my clients feel supported every step of the way, from pregnancy to postpartum.

Ultimately, my goal is to provide holistic education that empowers families to make informed choices, connect deeply with their birthing experience, and approach parenthood with confidence and joy.
